Joey treated Katie to lunch together at home today, and the girls tried their hardest to charm Daddy with their smiles and squeals. We're amazed by how vocal they have become - they make us laugh all the time. Hope you enjoy the video.
It's finally chilly weather here in Nashville. Anna, Margaret and I are enjoying the fall weather, and spend our days taking walks around the neighborhood, the park, and the Richland greenway; going to the grocery store; and playing around the house. It's hard to believe the girls turned 4 months on October 29. We can barely keep track of all the new little developments we see every day. They're giggling, cooing, starting to babble, grab for toys (and of course stick them in their mouths), rolling over from back to front, and generally being adorable in every way. This is truly a fun age and it just keeps getting better.
Well, not so little anymore. Katie and Gramma Leniski took them for some studio shots the other day. I'd say they are just about the cutest children in the world. Then again, I am not entirely objective.
Finally, I am going to put up these videos that I told everyone were coming. Sorry, some of these are fairly old.
We hope to take more videos soon and get those up as well. The girls are doing great, smiling like crazy at both Mom and Dad, and just loving life. They have developed a nasty "witching" hour starting at 3pm and going until about 7pm, but other than that they are perfect little angels. They are going to St. Louis this week with Mommy and Nana (Kate's mom), while Daddy goes out of town on a couple work trips.
Joey, Katie, Anna Sophia and Margaret Katherine cordially invite you to view our "vlog" of the first weekend of our babies' lives. I hope you all enjoy the footage as much as we've enjoyed living this experience since last Friday.
We are Joey and Katie, parents of identical twin girls Anna and Margaret, born on June 29, 2007 at healthy weights of 6 lbs 11 oz and 5 lbs 15 oz. We very unexpectedly discovered we were expecting twins at 17 weeks pregnant - the most shocking moment of our lives thus far! Our crazy toddlers are now 16 months old and keep us on our toes.
Joey and I met during our junior year of college at a study abroad program in London, England, through the University of Notre Dame. We kept up a 4-year long-distance relationship through law school/work at a firm in Nashville (Joey) and grad school/work in DC (Katie), got married at our beautiful alma mater, Notre Dame, on July 31, 2004, and made a home in Nashville, Tennessee. We're glad you're here!
